Nobody is ranked against a teammate. A younger child’s right answer is worth exactly as much to the team as an older one’s.

How a game goes
Make an Explorer Card for each player, with each child’s grade.
Roll the die and walk the hedge maze together.
Answer riddles to find the scattered Rune Stones.
Open the Sealed Gate as a team. Nobody loses, and there is no clock.
Safe by design
No ads. No accounts. No purchases. Nothing about your child ever leaves your device.
Once installed, Tanglehedge plays without the internet. Explorer Cards, progress and settings are saved on the device itself. The only thing the game ever asks the internet for is its own updates, and those carry nothing about your child.
Keep it on your device
Tanglehedge installs straight from the browser. There is nothing to download from a store. Installing makes it open like any other app, work offline, and keep your saves.
iPad and iPhone
Open the game in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. This matters here: without it, Safari may clear saves after a week away.
Android and Chromebook
Tap Install on this device below, then Install. Or open the game in Chrome and find Install app in the menu.
Windows and Mac
In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the end of the address bar.
